Commercial Flooring & Interior Concepts was proud to be featured in Chilewich’s Lookbook for flooring we recently installed at the Ocean First Bank headquarters’ private gym. Chilewich is a company that creates sustainable and durable textiles that can be used for flooring, table dressings, and a variety of coverings.
Chilewich has been on the market for over twenty years and was created by New York designer, Sandy Chilewich. Chilewich products are all American-made and are created using woven extruded vinyl yarns and are customized for wall-to-wall flooring or tile to be made softer or more robust.
For this project, a lasting yet stylish floor was needed to give some modern flair to this private gym. Chilewich was the clear choice for this project because, in addition to being durable, sustainable, and environmentally safe, Chilewich products also come in a myriad of colors. This gave our customer more freedom in their design without sacrificing the floor’s longevity or safety.
For the Ocean First Bank headquarters gym SOSH Architects, who worked on the conception and design for this project, went with tiles in GREY, Plaid™, MARBLE, Basketweave™, TWEED, Ikat™, and ONYX, Speckle™ to create a modern yet welcoming feeling to the space. Chilewich is great for gyms and wellness centers because it is easy to clean and high-performance, so it will hold up and look great no matter how much foot traffic the space gets. CFIC was thrilled with the final look of the space and knows that Ocean First Bank will get a lot of value out of this flooring application for years to come.
